Growing Tomatoes – Avoiding common problems

tomato plants have flowers but no fruit?
My tomato plants (grown in large pots on my deck which is above the screen Zone 9 and the bottom, central Florida – screen door is left open to dogs that enter the errors) are strong – devils are virtually trees! Some flowers, but have only a very small tomato. They are obviously happy, green, thick, can not understand why I do not get fruit. I can see cutworms, hand remove those that are listed. Keep watered. Fertilize with a fertilizer Milorganite tomatoes and miracle grow (but perhaps not enough?) Any help before the heat kills them is appreciated – I really want to get tomatoes after satisfying all the spring 
Best option is to take a pencil and gently tap the top of the flowers. This is usually enough to help pollinate. Be careful to fertilize well because the plant grows and develop unsuccessful. I do not fertilize again until you see a couple of tomatoes on the vine.
