Has anyone got a secret for growing tomatoes. Shhh! I won’t tell?

I live in northern Michigan and the growing season is very short. I love growing tomatoes but last year they looked very puny. I put miracle grow on them but they weren’t thrilled. Just a few tomatoes and that’s it. I planted Early Girl and that is what I have been told to plant. How about Epson Salts or what? Please help!

Epsom salts are good to use because they have magnesium and sulfur, both of which help in the production of chlorophyll. Put a teaspoon of Epsom salts at the base of the plant every 2 weeks. Happy gardening!
