I have not been medically able to grow a garden this year and would like to grow tomatoes in containers.?
Physically I have not been able to have a garden for the first time in 37 years. I want to plant tomatoes in containers. I have very large containers and live in Western Ky. Is it too late to put some out now and what are some tips to grow beautiful, tasty tomatoes?
Oooh! I live in Western Kentucky, too! How do you do, neighbor.
Know where the Amish community is near Mattoon? If you can go, yourself or maybe have someone take you, they had some tomato plants for hanging containers. I kid you not. I got some last month, and while the tomatoes, themselves, are not big — they are numerous!!! I don’t have them in hanging baskets, although I could. I just put them in big pots. I did put a cucumber plant in a pot on a high container, and I’m going to get some garden netting to spread out below it and see what happens.
Good luck — I’m not feeling very chipper, myself.
