When should I prune my four tomato plants?

I have four tomato plants cages (big boy) I am deeply planted in June One in Massachusetts. In three weeks have been very well done. Now they are about 10inch high and each has 5-6 stems that grow out of the line. beams are first flower just beginning to appear on each floor. I was removing suckers. When should I prune some of the lower stems? Now or wait a little longer. . .
